Operation Pedro Pan

Between 1960 and 1962 over 14,000 Cuban children were spirited out of that country’s revolutionary new communist regime under Fidel Castro. Their stories are little known by the general public and even historians until now. The so called Pedro Pan children whose parent made the anxiety ridden decision to put their children on a plane to the U.S. are only now speaking out. Hear three of their compelling stories as told to an audience of supporters in this Second Sunday presentation from the St Isidore Historical Chapel and Plaza in Los Alamitos on August 11, 2019.
